Kapiti Aero Club

Ground Courses

Kapiti Aero Club is now running ground courses for students looking at gaining extra knowledge or working their way towards their Private Pilots Licence. These ground courses covering Aircraft Technical Knowledge, Air Law, Flight Radio and Navigation are designed to assist students by providing theory training in a structured environment with an instructor to help answer any of those tricky questions you might have.

These courses are either one or two day depending on the subject and are run in the classroom upstairs in the main hangar at the aero club. Online payment is now available and all ground courses have a limited number of positions so that those attending can get the most out of each course.

Alongside these ground courses we will also be offering mock exam packages which you can purchase to gauge if you are ready for your next PPL theory flight test or practice just for fun to test your knowledge. So what are you waiting for! Give us a call to discuss your theory training now.

On each ground course you will be provided with a workbook following the NZCAA syllabus for each subject and with mock exams to test your understanding. All courses start at 9am and finish at 5pm. Tea, coffee and morning tea biscuits will be provided and we will have 40 minutes for lunch. All you need to bring is yourself and pens, highlighter, refill and any other stationery you use whilst studying.

Kapiti Aero Club is open 7 days a week, 8am-5pm. Call us on 04 902 6536 or drop into our clubrooms to discuss your aviation requirements.
